Role Summary/Purpose
The MR RF Engineering Manager leads and executes product programs with cross-functional team leaders and individuals to meet customer requirements for product quality, cost, to ensure that new product development is done on-time, to right quality and cost.
Essential Responsibilities
? Setting the strategy and direction of the business and driving continuous improvement of systems, products and processes on MR RF Transmit Chain.
? Functional leadership of the RF team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, and mentoring
? Resource assignment and prioritization, including headcount and base cost budget
? Instilling a rigorous approach to target costing for new products and driving cost out of existing products
? Leading change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues
? Optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development
? Supporting existing products within Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering
? Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
? Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
? Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
? Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones
? Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements ?
Bachelor Degree and above in Communication, electromagnetic field & Microwave, Electronic Engineering , and 5+ years RF related work experience is preferred.
? 2+ years people leadership experience
? Proven ability to work cross-functionally
? Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills
? Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills
? Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
? Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives
? Proven LEAN skills
? Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes
? Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
Desired Characteristics
1. Masters or PhD in Engineering or Physics
2. 5 years relevant industrial experience
