To drive the growth of the implantable hearing solutions industry across the Greater China region by reducing the barrier of affordability through influencing policy, creating sources of funding, maximising reimbursement with government and insurance providers

Accountability 1: Building government / agencies relationship
? Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Government agencies critical to current business development. (CDPF, CFDP, CRRCDC, NDRC) Establish and continue to strengthen relationships within other government agencies and pricing agencies (at both central and local levels) that will become important over time for market access (MOH, MHRSS, NDRC, CHIRA, CFDA)
? Identify the relevant industry associations and actively participate in such organizations
? Maintain updated customer profiles
? Develop and implement RMP to meet objectives

Accountability 2: Influence Policy to improve the Hearing Health of nations
? Identify specific constraints inhibiting the growth of the implantable hearing solutions and define strategies and initiatives to address.
? Define business plans and local initiatives for individual markets to drive industry growth in collaboration with business managers/ teams
? Champion government relations and strategic engagement programs to ensure that hearing health is a national/ provincial priority in Greater China region by establishing hearing health forums, creating alliances with health service professionals/ providers and activating consumer advocate groups
? Policies required to support the entire hearing health lifecycle/ patient journey: identification, counseling, access to technology and services, counseling, education, re/habilitation and ongoing maintenance/ support.
? Participate in industry groups that seek to shape reimbursement policy


Accountability 3: Lobby for funding change
? Drive market growth by generating new sources of funding for implantable hearing solutions from governments, foundations, corporations and philanthropists.
? The scope of the funding includes the purchase and provision of implantable hearing devices.
? Develop strategic cooperation projects with central government / agencies and academic institutes to shape reimbursement policy
? Search and develop funding opportunities to support Cochlear’s business in Greater China
? Lobby for reimbursement from insurance or government agencies
? Maintain knowledge of existing and emerging, private and public health reimbursement systems across Greater China
? provide input into product development strategies to maximize, coverage and payment of Cochlear's products and services in Greater China
? Provide strategic input and support for major tenders in Greater China

Accountability 4: Reporting
? Report the latest relevant government policies with interpretation to internal stake holders
? Submit periodic report on government business projects

Accountability 5: Planning
? Develop a strategic plan that allows us to maintain a clear short and long term directions for GA
