- Lead cross-functional teams located primarily in Asia (e.g. India, China) and across the globe on key new product development efforts for the Asia Emerging Markets
- Develop and execute master project plans including schedules, budgets, and resources
- Define project resource requirements and negotiate team assignments with functional managers and external vendors
- Plan, coordinate and track project activities
- Management of project budget and oversight of capital expenditures
- Develop and monitor risk mitigations plans to ensure business and project objectives are met
- Support outside contract/supply agreement contract development and vendor management
- Challenge functional groups to meet project goals and commitments
- Provide routine project status communications to project team and management
- Ensure communication across Regional Business Units and Global Business Unit
- Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance customer, manufacturing, and business requirements to expedite launch of the right product to market
- Ability to work independently (self-directed)
- Track record of managing projects to schedule
- Experience in successfully collaborating with functional departments (e.g. Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Marketing, Quality, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills including evidence of managing multi-discipline teams
- Ability to effectively handle conflict through proactive action, and direct and timely communication
- Attention to detail and experience to check behind the scenes to ensure surprises are minimized
- Experience in managing teams with a diverse cultural background
- Sets the standard for timeliness, work ethic, and personal integrity
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong Microsoft Project skills
- Ensure that the Project Design History File is current and accurate and manage documentation and communication needs for the project, ensuring all regulatory standards are met (e.g. project SharePoint).
- Support Core Team meetings by preparing the agenda, project updates, taking meeting minutes.
- Manage issues and risks by monitoring known risks and preparing mitigation plans for each of these risks.
Education required/ preferred:
BA/BS Science, Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration. Masters preferred.
Experience: Eight years of relevant experience which includes five years experience in a project management position of which three years includes experience in the product development process. This position requires an understanding of the scientific, technical, manufacturing, marketing and regulatory processes involved in the development of a medical device product.

Preference will be given to candidates with a successful track record of managing at least two new product introductions from concept to launch
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience driving projects in emerging markets in which resources in those local markets were utilized
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the development of medical devices pertinent to the segment’s four GBU’s platforms
Medical Device Project Development Experience a very strong plus
