In this role, you have the opportunity to

Present procurement in product creation projects in development center.



You are responsible for

· Organizing early supplier involvement with a Design for excellence (DfX) mindset and making use of approaches like co-design or cost-reduction workshops.

· Preparing Request for Quotations and project contracts including specs and project requirements with suppliers.

· Ensuring procurement related risks (cost, quality and availability) are controlled and mitigated, by bringing the relevant procurement colleagues in to the equation.

· Driving cost downs activities: identify strategic cost reduction opportunities for products in the portfolio and for products in development, in new product development to drive savings in close cooperation with Marketing, Quality, SCM Development & Commodity Management, in this way to deliver a significant contribution to business cases and product roadmaps, by understanding cost drivers and the power of standardization.

· A foremost task will be to lead DfX projects enabling "first time right" product creation, through proper trade-offs between functionality/cost/quality.



You are a part of

A dedicated Global Team. You will directly report to the Procurement Engineering Business Partner and will work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Innovation and Commodity Management.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

· Master degree in a relevant technical discipline with professional experience ofa 5-7 years proven track ？

· Experience in DfX, Value Engineering, LEAN or Six Sigma in New Product Introduction Process ？

· Knowledge leader regarding costing toolset (Should Costing, NPV, TCO), initiating and driving cost down projects;？

· A team player who is both proactive and cooperative; easily gains trust and support of peers; encourages collaboration and challenges constructively, experienced in international and multi-disciplinary project team is preferred ？

· Can think strategically and is at the same time hands-on. Understands and is able to challenge blue prints and specifications ？

· Delivers results. ？

· Prepared to travel up to 10% of the time within China
