Role Summary/Purpose
As a member of the HW CoE team in TRMS you will be part of a cross-functional team charted to deliver processes and tools to deploy the Model Based Enterprise (MBE) concept in GEHC engineering. You will develop and evaluate prototypes and technologies for deployment into the engineering organization with cross functional teams to ensure that our solutions are effective, robust and viable.
Essential Responsibilities
? Collaborate across the GEHC engineering organization to deploy a Model Based Definition (MBD) process which provides engineering a mechanism to deliver model based information to their downstream consumers.
? Evaluate engineering tools against requirements needed for a model based enterprise.
? Create and document best practice documents to support implementation of MBD in Creo with specific attention to the compliance to the standards or the exception and work around if the tool is not compliant.
? Create and document best practices to define modeling (model construction and annotations) to ensure uniformity and consistency in our design output.
? Create and document best practices in the configuration of Creo to establish layer, groups, views, etc., and how they will be implemented and used.
? Engage with the GEHC Principal Engineers to coordinate and map out the strategy for MBE from a process point of view and determine where and how tools fit within the process.
? Work across functional teams such as Supplier Quality Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and other downstream functions to ensure their needs are incorporated into the design infrastructure..
? Create process documents and guidance for training and support for MBE.
? Lead the change management of Engineer of the future deployment in China region.
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications/Requirements
1. BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
2. 5+ years experience in an engineering role focused on hardware development and product delivery.
3. Proven ability to work effectively in a global cross-functional team environment.
4. Hands-on fabrications and low scale manufacturing experience.
5. Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills.
6. Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.
7. Experience with a variety of engineering design tools and ability to define requirements for the tools.
8. Experience in design, documentation and configuration using Creo/Cadence so to develop an environment for MBD which will enhance the user experience.
9. Self-starter with strong initiative
U.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications:
1. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
2. Must be willing to work in our Waukesha, WI, facility full-time

Desired Characteristics
1. Working knowledge of GEHC design tools and processes.
2. M.S. degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
3. Experience in the medical device (or other regulated) industry.
4. Proven record of innovation in design.
5. 5000+ hours of experience with Creo/Cadence (or other) CAD tools/systems.
6. Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) in the design environment.
7. Experience with ANSYS or similar mechanical modeling tools.
