Job Description:
Summary: The Service Engineer role is responsible for the success of post-sale implementation and support of product shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Customer relationship management/Field Service
o Develop close working relationship with customer’s service team. Be able to conduct/satisfy:
§ Technical training
§ Field repair work
§ Customer-facing visits
§ Urgent repair/refurbishment requests
· Component repair process
o Coordinate production demands with repair demand
o Status of repairs distributed around plant for repair
o Achieving satisfactory turn times through production lines for repairs
o Expedite inter-facility repairs upon customer request
· Data analysis/management
o Track and report key metrics of repair/refurbishment process
o Present status of repair turn time, issues, constraints to management
o SAP work order hygiene
§ Ensuring content entered into SAP is accurate
§ Ensuring company SSDs properly mandate what specific information needs to be in SAP work orders
§ Resolving daily issues with SAP work orders/workflow
· Supply Chain management
o Status of parts out for repair at other facilities
o Maintain constructive inter-facility relationships. Utilize management as necessary to facilitate
o Implement improvements to streamline inter-continent repair process
o Track, report and adjust material safety stocks to satisfy fluctuating repair lead times
Qualifications:
· 5-10 years of experience working in a customer service environment with demonstrated, consistent performance improvements
· 5-10 years of experience working with complex electrical systems (e.g. signal processing, RF amplification, etc)
· Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be presentable to the customer
· Comfortable working in a matrix organization
