For over 10 years, Philips Ultrasound (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., has been a leading company in design, develop and manufacture medical ultrasound transducer for variety of applications. The company has become member of Philips Healthcare since 2010 and continues actively to provide high quality, high performance products to medical ultrasound customers.
This position will be located in Pudong, Shanghai, China.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
?Bring your experience in quality engineering, manufacturing processes and product design to this Supplier Quality Engineering role within Philips. Your challenge will be to guide our Supplier Partners to always do the right thing. This involves being a confident advisor on engineering product quality management related topics, in order to achieve delivery of high quality and outstanding reliability products.
You are responsible for
1. Conduct routine process audits at our key Supplier Partner manufacturing sites to ensure conformance to procedures, identify possible quality risks, note continuous improvement opportunities, provide coaching on quality engineering best practices, verify effectiveness of corrective actions and assist in the resolution of quality problems.
2. Identify quality/technical issues at suppliers, drive resolution (closed loop corrective action, SCAR) with the supplier(s).
3. Ensure process and quality control plans are in place across the supply chain, alignment of OQC (outgoing quality control) and IQCs (incoming quality control).
4. Manage supplier conformance to Quality Agreement requirements.
5. Support local Philips factory when supplier caused quality issues arise.
6. Participate in the assessment, selection and technical development of new (and existing) suppliers.
7. Support introduction of new products into existing and new suppliers as required for NPI, cost reduction and sustaining projects.
8. Verify supplier readiness to the appropriate level of maturity, from the quality management perspective, at each milestone in a product development process.
9. Review designs for manufacturability and ability to meet quality and reliability performance targets.
10. Collaborate with and influence product development (PD) project teams to design for quality/reliability.
11. Ensure supplier early involvement/input into product requirements and design specifications, and supplier participation in Philips design reviews.
12. Lead and facilitate implementation of the elements of APQP into new or existing suppliers for NPI projects with suppliers.
13. Manage Supplier Quality performance and reporting, Monthly Quality reports and Quarterly Supplier Reviews (PPM, SCAR, etc.).
14. Perform supplier QMS audits and capability assessments to confirm supplier compliance to applicable regulatory standards.
15. Participate in Supply Base and Commodity Strategy Development.
16. Supplier Change Notice point contact for supplier. Liaison between R&D and Supplier as applicable.
17. Drive structural quality and process improvements, such as quality agreements, quality specifications, in collaboration with the commodity managers, R&D and Supply Chain Engineering.
18. Execute responsibilities as prescribed in FAI, IQC, SDR, Purge, MRB, SCAR and other SQE processes.
19. Work with other functional engineering disciplines as required to permanently solve technical supplier quality related problems.
